Congratulations to you
Graduation is right around the corner for high school seniors. To my younger self, I wish someone would have told me these things. Please don’t allow the scarcity mindset of others especially family members to cheat you out of your God given destiny dreams with limiting beliefs and fears. I can’t imagine how many dreams were never accomplished and fulfilled because we weren’t taught correctly about who we are in Christ.
Romans 8:37 says, “we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” You can achieve victory through Christ. God will give you strength as your approach your dreams. Seniors, you are victorious and you will be victorious in all that you do. Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
I was never told I could be an employer but only an employee. To all you seniors, dream of becoming business owners and entrepreneurs. Deuteronomy 15:6 says, “For the Lord your God will bless you as he has promised, and you will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. You will rule over many nations but none will rule over you.” This is a promise God made and it can’t be revoked. Dream larger than you can ever imagine because that’s the God you serve.
If there is any lack of finances Philippians 4:19 says, “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Trust in God and He will supply all your needs. If God can supply for the birds in Matthew 6:26 how much more will He provide for His children? He will provide abundantly more.
Psalm 37:4 says, “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” How do you delight in the Lord? Seniors, it’s as simple as you spending time with your friends. Spend time talking to God. Enjoy Him as you enjoy your time with your friends. Don’t make it complicated and hard. It’s as easy as saying hello.
Seniors, anytime fear creeps up, know it’s not from God. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” God didn’t give you the spirit of fear. He has given you the power and authority over it.
Yes, there will be challenges but do not be discourage and give up. Remember to have faith. Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Just because you can’t see it yet doesn’t mean it’s not going to happen.
Humility is a requirement if one is to be a leader. Luke 6:31 says, “Do to others as you would have them do to you.” Moral integrity is important in leadership.
Congratulations Seniors! Don’t let anyone rob you of the dreams God placed in your heart. Stay encourage and remember God is always with you, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6, NIV)
